This piece was created to get inspired and think out of the box. We were given 6 words that we then had to create an illustration out of. The categories for the words were occupation, feelings, person or animal, activity, object, and location. I created multiple thumbnails with several word variation combos. I ultimately chose the combination, octopus, love, antique collector, storytelling, book, and shipyard. I chose the particular one due to its storytelling potential and fluid layout. Due to the elements, the composition leads your eye around the illustration very purposefully. The contrast between the harsh outside and cozy inside were supported by colors and quality of line.
